Why choose Hay Adrar for a family holiday in Agadir?
The seafront has its charms, but it does not always meet a family’s needs. In Hay Adrar, you gain space, a proper kitchen, the calm of a residence and a budget that is easier to manage, without giving up the beach.

When it comes to booking, many families ask themselves the same question: stay facing the sea, or a little further back, in a neighbourhood where the people of Agadir live? There is no single answer. It all depends on what you want from your holiday, and how many people you need to house.
Seafront or residential neighbourhood?
On the seafront promenade, you step out of your door and walk to the sand. It is a real pleasure, but that convenience often comes at a price, in square metres as well as in budget. Yet what a family needs most is space, calm and a daily routine that is easy to organise.
Hay Adrar makes the opposite choice. The neighbourhood is residential, and the sea is within easy reach by car: depending on the time of day and the traffic, the beach and the town centre are generally fifteen to twenty minutes away by car. In exchange for this short journey, family life becomes far more comfortable.
Your accommodation budget, better spent
The first advantage shows on the bill. In a residential neighbourhood, your accommodation budget buys more space: each Cocon offers 75 m² for up to six guests, from €39 a night in the standard period. The exact amount depends on your dates and the season.
Above all, the children have proper bedrooms. Cocon 1 and Cocon 2 each have two bedrooms with double beds, including a master bedroom with its own bathroom and toilet. Parents get a little privacy back, the children sleep in their own room, and nobody spends the week on the living-room sofa.

A kitchen, and mealtimes become simple again
With children, three meals a day in restaurants soon become a burden, both to organise and for your wallet. The fully equipped kitchen in each Cocon lets you serve breakfast at whatever time suits you, make a snack after the beach or a quiet dinner after a long day.

Peace and quiet after the beach
After a day in the sun, everyone appreciates coming back to a peaceful place. The residence is secure, with a caretaker on site, and has private underground parking: the car stays under cover, and you unload beach bags and shopping without hunting for a space. From June to September, its two pools offer one last swim in the late afternoon, without getting back in the car.

One thing to know before you book: the apartments are cooled by fans; there is no air conditioning.
Everyday essentials close at hand
Hay Adrar is a neighbourhood where people live all year round, and you can feel it. A pharmacy, a BIM supermarket, snack bars and a gym are all close to the residence, and the mosque is a few minutes’ walk away. For the big shop, the Carrefour at the Sela Park shopping centre and Decathlon are about three minutes away by car.
You also discover a different Agadir from the hotel districts. The Tikiouine market, about two minutes away by car, sets the rhythm of neighbourhood life; you do your shopping among the locals. Our guide Authentic Agadir takes the discovery further, to Inezgane and Taroudant, and children will find Crocoparc, Lion Park and Parkids just a few minutes away.
For football fans, the city’s big stadium is also around ten minutes away by car: See a match at the Stade Adrar.
The car, which makes everything simpler
Staying back from the sea means having a car, and that is exactly what makes the stay more flexible. With the Dacia Sandero Stepway 2026, you head to the beach whenever suits you, do your shopping in one go and set off on excursions without waiting for a taxi.
And you have a single point of contact. The accommodation and the car are booked with the same owner, with no intermediary: this is the Cocon & Liberté package, which combines a Cocon and the Sandero for a single price per night, from €63.50 in the standard period, apartment and car included.
Both Cocons, for travelling in a group
Two families travelling together, grandparents coming along with the clan: both Cocons together offer two 75 m² apartments on the same landing, making 150 m² for up to twelve guests. Each keeps its own living room and kitchen, and everyone gets together on the landing.
Who Hay Adrar won’t suit
Hay Adrar is not for travellers who want to walk down to the beach every day or have dinner on the seafront every evening. On the other hand, for a family that puts space, calm and a better overall budget first, it is a very sensible choice.
Shops, distances, outings: the Hay Adrar page brings together all the practical landmarks of the neighbourhood.
All our Agadir prices, period by period, are on the prices page.
